| Unlike its two predecessors, the Annual of Light and Architecture 1994 features not only description of individual buildings and their specific lighting solutions, but in addition several chapters dealing with different approaches to the subject. In this way it probably comes closest to what the reader expects to find in a yearbook.
The first section presents some of the best German architecture photographers. The second chapter introduces several well-known lighting designers from Germany and abroad. The third section presents further important buildings featuring outstanding solutions for day-lighting as well as artificial lighting. The final chapter is devoted to two lighting designs by female students of architecture which are noteworthy for their astonishingly progressive treatment of light and for the pleasure and imagination applied to the tasks at hand. In conclusion, the reader is given an opportunity to get to know a light artist and his work, and to have a look at a diamond show whose most important elements were light and music.
