| This book will guide the reader through the entire process of setting up their own site using the open source AMP model: Installation of Apache, MySQL, and PHP, creation of PHP web pages, database management, security, and integration with other technologies such as e-commerce. During the course of the book, several websites are created, with common themes, so that the reader may utilize these examples in the real world. The first is a simple website with simple database tables, in order to show the basic functions of PHP and MySQL and how they can be used together in web development.
